Cutting-In
Inspired by historical botanical art, which traditionally documents new plant discoveries, I instead depict species in decline. Using hand-painted techniques and digital manipulation, I juxtapose fragile plants with industrial machinery, symbolizing destruction.
By intertwining nature and mechanization, Cutting In invites reflection on how human expansion threatens biodiversity. The collection is designed to spark conversation and challenge perspectives, urging us to reconsider our impact on the natural world.
